Consent to Telehealth

Last updated: 2026-07-24

Draft for review — pending counsel. This document describes Saludlink's current practices and is not yet final. It is pending review by qualified legal counsel and may change before it takes effect.

What telehealth is. Telehealth is the delivery of health care using secure video, audio, and messaging technologies when the patient and provider are in different locations. Saludlink’s website links to a separate, independent, licensed telehealth service for scheduled visits; the saludlinkusa.com store itself does not provide medical care. Telehealth care is available only in the states where the providers are licensed.

Prescription order review, distinct from a telehealth visit. Compounded prescription products purchased directly on the store are instead reviewed asynchronously by a licensed physician on our care team as part of fulfilling that order (see our Terms of Service and Medical Disclaimer) — this is not a scheduled telehealth visit, but the same core protections in this Consent (voluntary, not for emergencies, PHI handled under our Notice of Privacy Practices) apply to it.

The care process. Through the linked service you may complete an intake, share health information, and meet with a licensed provider who may evaluate you, discuss options, and — where clinically appropriate and legally permitted — recommend or order care. The provider uses professional judgment and may determine that telehealth is not appropriate for your situation.

Expected benefits. Telehealth can improve access and convenience, reduce travel, and allow timely care from your own home.

Risks and limitations. Because the provider cannot physically examine you, some conditions cannot be fully assessed by telehealth and an in-person visit or additional testing may be required. Technology can fail or be interrupted, which may delay or affect care. Despite reasonable safeguards, no electronic communication is completely secure. Telehealth outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Not for emergencies. Telehealth is NOT for medical emergencies. If you have or think you may have an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Privacy of your information. Protected health information created through the telehealth service is handled under HIPAA; see our Notice of Privacy Practices and the telehealth provider’s notice.

Your rights. Your consent to telehealth is voluntary. You may withhold or withdraw it at any time without affecting your right to future care or to seek care in person, and you may ask questions about the care you receive at any time.

Your consent. By using the linked telehealth service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this information and consent to receive care by telehealth. [Detailed, provider-specific consent terms — including any state-required disclosures and acknowledgments — to be finalized by counsel and the telehealth provider.] Questions: support@saludlinkusa.com.
